Brothers in Ohio,
I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather, although it seems like we will have an early winter
this year.
We had our State Board Meeting on October 10th in Akron. Our thanks go out to the Mark Heffernan
Division for hosting the event. Our meeting was preceded by a luncheon and then a joint AOH/LAOH
meeting. Danny O'Connell gave a site presentation for Mahoning County to host the 2011 State
Convention. There were no other presentations so we will all meet in Youngstown in 2011!
Thanks to the men and women of Mahoning County for stepping forward.
In addition to hosting the State Board Meeting on October 10th, the Mark Heffernan Division provided entertainment
later in the day by offering discounted tickets and shuttle rides to the Akron University vs. Ohio University
football game. For those who opted not to attend the game, food and live music was provided at the hall.
It was a full day of fun for all.
Many of the divisions will be holding their elections for officers for 2010 in the upcoming months.
Don't forget to send in your Form 9s to our Secretary, Ron Hagan either by e-mailing at rhagan@hagancpa.com
or snail-mailing at 480 So. 3rd Street, Columbus, OH 43215. In addition to being a requirement,
it assists the various Chairmen in knowing who their division counterparts are and can contact
them with information throughout the year.
As we enter into the seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, let's remember those who are less
fortunate than us. Let's also keep in our prayers all those men and women who are serving
their country at home and overseas.
Fraternally,
Joe Casey
