Brothers in Ohio,
You have to wonder where the summer went! It has been over a month since our convention and many of the summer Irish festivals are over and it is time for autumn. I hope everyone had a good summer and enjoyed all the festivities that came with it.
Image Many of us on the State Board attended a 150th anniversary celebration of Our Lady of Knock in August. We all met at St. Colman's in Washington Courthouse, just outside of Columbus. It was a beautiful event and the AOH and LAOH were well represented. This is one of the Ohio churches where there is still a stained glass window donated by our Hibernian ancestors. The window, church and ground are lovely and worth a visit by all. We thank our gracious host, Fr. Sullivan for celebrating the mass, entertaining us at the reception afterwards and giving us some interesting history of St. Colman's and those who helped build the parish.
We are planning our fall State Board Meeting and that information will be coming out soon. Let's try to get a good attendance and get started toward our next year's hosting of the AOH National Convention in Cincinnati. Brother Magee and his assistants have been working hard on this and from what we hear, it is going to be quite an event. We will talk more on that as the time draws closer.
Have a great autumn, enjoy the weather and remember to keep trying to get new members to join our Order.

Fraternally,
Joe Casey
