Brothers,
Here's hoping all had a good Christmas season and a great start to 2010. It should be an exciting year, with our hosting the National Convention in Cincinnati in July. We have an opportunity at that time to show Hibernians from all over the U.S. that the Ohio AOH is alive and well!

Don't forget about the raffle we have going on at this time. Our State Board "Ohio Irish Sweepstakes" is in progress. We are raffling off a Benelli Legacy Model 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun. A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold at $10 each. Each division within the state has been allotted a certain amount of tickets to sell. If you would like to purchase one, please contact your division or Mike McKenzie, State Board Vice-President at 330-825-8393. Also, Mike McKenzie needs the ticket stubs and money turned in as soon as you get them so he will have a count on tickets sold and also if others need more tickets. Sales of tickets will help offset expenses of conducting normal business without passing along added expenses to the divisions.

We are tentatively scheduling our spring State Board Meeting in Cincinnati at the Millenium Hotel on April 17th. More information will follow. This will be our chance to view the hotel and make sure we are all there to assist as needed. Be sure to log onto the National Convention website (http://www.hibernians2010.com) and make your reservations with the hotel and also your registration for the events during the convention.

Most of the division elections and installation of officers have occurred for the year. Be sure that you send your Form 9s to Ron Hagan as soon as possible so we will have a complete and up-to-date listing of officers, both elected and appointed. I also want to be sure I am including all of the new division presidents in these reports.

You also want to be certain you have filed your year-end reports, along with assessments & per capita to both the National Secretary (Thomas McNabb) and State Secretary (Ron Hagan). This is imperative as it will ensure we will have all the voting delegates eligible for the National Convention.

Finally, past State Presidents..don't forget to submit your photos and bios to Pete Doyle, our State Website Chairman (warprunner01@gmail.com). They will be posted on the State web page.

I am attaching an article regarding Danny O'Connell's and my trip to Washington D.C. earlier this month. It was a great trip and we met some interesting people. -- Click here to view --

Here's hoping we all have a good winter which will lead up to our green season. This is a good time of year to start recruiting new members.

Fraternally,
Joe Casey
President
